FARMER’S TRIATHLON

Fair-goers have the chance to compete like a farmer and WIN MONEY!

The Farmer’s Triathlon is scored based performance in THREE separate competitions:

  • Pedal Tractor Pulls

  • Bale Stacking

  • Bale Throwing

    Contestants may enter bale events as often as desired.

There are four competition groups/categories:

  • Age 15 and over - Men’s

  • Age 15 and over - Women’s

  • Under Age 15 - Men’s

  • Under Age 15 - Women’s

Entry fee $2.00 per entry class payable at time of entry.

Points are assigned as follows: first place in each event is 10 points through 1 point for tenth place.

Winners will be decided at the end of the fair based on the results of the three events. Each-division winner receives $50.

Pedal Tractor Pulls

The event will be held on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026 at 7pm and Saturday, Aug 22, 2026 at 6pm.

Classes are based on age. An individual may enter only once in each age division but an individual may enter more than one higher age division. Note the ages for the classes may be rearranged at the time of the pull pending the number of entries.

  • Under 4 years of age

  • Ages 5-7 years old

  • Ages 8-10 years old

  • Ages 11-14 years old

  • Ages 15-18 years old

  • Adult (19-64) - Men’s

  • Adult (19 -64) - Women’s

  • Senior Citizen (Over 65) Men’s

  • Senior Citizen (Over 65) Women’s

Ribbons for 1st thru 3rd place will be awarded. All decisions of the judges are final.

Bale Stacking Contest

The event will be held on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026 Until Dark and Saturday, Aug 22, 2026 at 5pm.

This event has two divisions-open and youth under 15. Both divisions will have separate categories for men and women.

  • Age 15 and over - Men’s

  • Age 15 and over - Women’s

  • Under Age 15 - Men’s

  • Under Age 15 - Women’s

How to play:

  • Participants must move bales 10 feet from existing stack and build a new stack (at the designated location).

  • Bales must be stacked inside perimeter. A 10-second penalty will be assessed for each bale or part of a bale outside the perimeter.

  • A 10-second penalty will be assessed for a broken bale.

Best time over the full duration of the Fair wins (for each division) - declared at closing Saturday.

  • 1st best - $25

  • 2nd best - $15

  • 3rd best - $10

Bale Throwing Contest

The event will be held on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026 Until Dark and Saturday, Aug 22, 2026 at 5pm.

  • Age 15 and over - Men’s

  • Age 15 and over - Women’s

  • Under Age 15 - Men’s

  • Under Age 15 - Women’s

How to play:

  • Contestants must throw a straw bale (by any means but with no assistance).

  • Distance will be measured from a designated boundary line to the furthest point of the bale.

  • Contestant may not touch or pass boundary line.

Best distance over the full duration of the Fair wins (for each division) - declared at closing Saturday.

  • 2nd best - $15

  • 3rd best - $10
